Early Loudspeakers
These are just some of the early loudspeakers we’ve sold over the past 22 years. If you see one you can’t live without, let us know. We might get lucky and locate its sibling.
Several of the earliest radio speakers were actually re-purposed automotive horns & limousine intercoms, such as Western Electric’s Chau-Phone. Advances in loudspeaker driver technology, together with consumer demand for speakers that weren’t considered unsightly in the parlor or boudoir, led to the development of more efficient, more attractive horn and cone speakers for radios equipped with amplified output stages.
