Tiny, beautiful and uncommon 1870’s pocket telegraph set manufactured by Western Electric. These exquisitely engineered, palm-sized outfits were used by telegraph lineman and patterned after the Tillotson and Caton pocket telegraph sets used by spies during the Civil War.
Condition is excellent, close to mint, and it’s entirely original, with clean nickel everywhere, no damage to the gutta percha parts, no damage to the spring, pristine casing on the coils, etc. Top of the case fits snugly onto the base, and it can be removed easily. There are no cracks in the hard rubber, no swelling, no issues.
Approximately 4 3/4″ long x 2″ wide x 1 1/2″ high. Shipping weight approximately 3 lb.
