Tiny, beautiful 1898 Columbia Q phonograph with an original 15″ hanging brass horn, an announced (“Columbia Phonograph Company Of New York & Paris”) 1890’s Columbia brown wax cylinder on which is recorded a fine military march, an early Q floating reproducer in its original box and a table crane to support the hanging horn.
Condition is excellent. The phonograph is clean, with very little oxidation or tarnish, and the nickeled surfaces are smooth to the touch.
The cabinet is beautiful, with its original finish still intact, along with its original decal, which is nearly perfect.
The motor is in good shape, with ample torque, and the original Columbia floating reproducer has a good stylus.
The 15″ brass horn is in excellent condition, with a few dings, but no cracks or other damage.
Though later-made, the table crane is essentially identical to an original and suspends the horn safely, allowing unimpeded travel back and forth across the carriage.
