1900 Eldridge R. Johnson Type B “Victor” Phonograph With Original Johnson Horn & Sound Box
Uncommon, all-original Eldridge R. Johnson Type B “Victor” Gramophone, manufactured ca. 1900 by Johnson prior to his incorporation of the Victor Talking Machine Co.
The phonograph runs well and has no incorrect or reproduction parts. No damage anywhere, and no repairs. Original cabinet finish, original horn (with original paint and stripe), original Johnson sound box (with correct “C” prefix), original horn elbow, original crank, original record hold down, etc.
Base molding is complete and undamaged. Applied wood fleur-de-lis decorations on the sides of the cabinet are likewise complete and undamaged.
Though mechanically similar to the Improved Berliner Gramophone of 1898, the Johnson Type B is much scarcer, and it’s rarely found in any condition, much less looking as good — and running as well — as this example.
Comes with an early early Eldridge Johnson 7″ Gram-O-Phone record.
