Beautiful Edison Triumph Phonograph with an original Edison/Music Master Cygnet Horn. This is a Model E, manufactured in 1912. It features a horizontal carriage, factory combination gearing and an original Edison Combination “O” reproducer.
The phonograph is immaculate, with a professionally refinished cabinet that has no chips, no dents, no dings, no missing chunks of wood, no repairs, no restoration, no problems. The bedplate is exceptional, with original multi-color decorations that are nearly perfect and no scarred or flaking enamel. The enamel itself is still glossy and its surface is still as smooth as satin to the touch.
All of the nickel-plated fittings on the mechanism gleam, the Edison ID plate is clean and legible, the governor assembly and 2/4 minute gearing are working properly, and the motor still has sufficient torque to play multiple records with a single winding.
The Music Master horn’s oak bell has been professionally refinished to match the finish of the cabinet. The original wood-graining on the horn elbow is outstanding, with just scattered minor marks. No dents, no blistered paint, no damage.
The desirable “O” reproducer can play any type of cylinder ever made — wax or celluloid, 2 minute or 4 minute — and the machine’s combination gearing can be switched from one speed to another in a matter of seconds.
