Grebe CR-18 short wave battery radio manufactured in Richmond Hill, NY in 1926.
The radio is original throughout (including all 6 tuning coils), and its condition is just about mint. Pristine original cabinet finish, flawless brushed bakelite panel, blackened panel screws whose heads are still black, and bronzed dial escutcheons that retain their original bronze finish.
Better yet, the radio has been tested, and it still works. Requires a regulated DC power supply (ie, an ARBEIII), and a clean, outdoor, longwire antenna — at least 120 feet long and 10 feet above the ground.
Comes with an excellent, highly sensitive pair of Baldwin Type C headphones. Also included is a digital copy of the original owner’s manual.
