1923 RCA Radiola VII Radio Receiver * Wireless Specialty Apparatus Co.

$2,950.00

Ships Worldwide.

In production for just three months in late 1923, the Radiola VII was physically imposing, difficult to operate and — priced at almost $300 including tubes and an FH horn speaker — just $30 less expensive than a Model T Ford.

Like RCA’s infamous Aeriola Grand that preceded it by just a year, the Radiola VII was a commercial flop, and fewer than 2,000 units were manufactured before it was pulled from RCA’s radio line-up in early 1924.

Perhaps as few as a hundred units were ever actually sold.

This example is in very good condition throughout, with a clean panel and a clean original cabinet finish that exhibits minor crazing consistent with its age. Chassis is straight, with nice original wiring and original battery wires (the Radiola VII’s dry cell batteries were stored in the cabinet). Push button filament switch is still operable, and all of the controls work as designed.

Includes a set of brass base, tipped UV-99 display tubes (open filaments).
