This 1923 Atwater Kent 4445 breadboard radio is better known as the “long board” Model 9. It was the first version of the Model 9, and it’s arguably the most collectible. The radio is factory-built and inductively tuned. It’s assembled on a 26″ mahogany board, and it has binding posts for battery connections rather than a wiring harness.

A working radio, it comes with a complete set of good brass base, tipped rainbow 01A tubes.

Condition is excellent, about as good as you’ll find anywhere. Clean parts, smooth original finish on the board, whose end caps are still tightly secured. Clean original hardware and fittings, glossy brown bakelite with no scratches, no cracks, no chips, no issues. Both AF transformers inside the TA are original, and both are good.

The tuners (Type 11 and Coupled Circuit) are in excellent condition and working properly.

A perfect fit for any advanced collection of early radios.
