Very scarce Medico Electro Galvanometer sold by Dr. C.B. Barrett in the 1840’s. The apparatus is signed and dated by its maker and was offered in conjunction with Barrett’s tract on its applications, which can be downloaded from the National Library of Medicine’s digital collection.
Condition is very good throughout, and the instrument appears to be original throughout, including the entire induction coil and constituent parts. Cabinet exhibits normal wear consistent with age and authenticity.
Includes both original handles/electrodes and their original connecting wires.
With its lid lowered, the cabinet measures approximately 12″ x 9″ x 6″.
