Complete, working Frederick Cox vertical induction coil. The coil was manufactured in the late 1860’s and comes with its original electrodes and its original fitted cabinet (round slots for the electrodes).
Condition is excellent, close to mint. Clean coil, clean fittings, clean electrodes, with beautiful handles and their original braided wires.
No damage to the glass cylinder.
The cabinet is beautiful, too. Original finish, original hardware. Original lock, but no key.
As you can see by accessing the video (YouTube URL below), the coil is good, and the apparatus still works when connected to 5 volts DC.
With the lid lowered, the cabinet measures approximately 9″ x 7 1/2″ x 7 1/2″. Shipping weight, properly packed, will be about 12 lb.
