Well-made, very uncommon Marconi spark key dating to around 1905.
The key is identical to the one pictured in Volume 14 of the AWA Review (Spark Keys: The Interplay of Wireless History and Technology — Kleinman, Kreuzer, et al), but without a condenser embedded in its base.
The key’s wood base is mounted on a secondary base made of cast iron.
The key is unsigned, but it has been authenticated by Marconi specialist Jim Kreuzer, co-author of the aforementioned AWA review article.
Measures approximately 6″ x 4″ x 4″.
