Early and uncommon Clapp Eastham loose coupler. This was one of the company’s first radio products, introduced several years before it launched its line of Blitzen components.
Condition is very good throughout, and the apparatus is original throughout. All binding posts and binding post nuts are original to the loose coupler, and no binding post nuts are missing.
Wood finish is original, and the wood itself is in good shape, with no damage, no warping, no problems. Original metal Clapp Eastham tag on the baseboard is complete, legible and undamaged.
Nice original winding on both coils, and no dings or dents in the coil forms. Sliders move easily along the rails. Original hardware throughout.
A nice example of a hard-to-find early radio tuner.
