Beautiful, working Atwater Kent 4052 breadboard radio, better known as the Model 6.

The top side of the board has been refinished, and new wire has been drawn through the original holes, but the radio is otherwise pristine and nearly perfect, with clean original parts that show hardly any signs of wear.

All of the chocolate brown bakelite is in excellent condition, with no chips, no cracks, no issues. The engraved numbers and hash marks on the tuning dial are crisp and clear, and the backing plate is perfect. The wire on the Type 11 tuner is still tightly wound, and there are no stains anywhere. The paint on the TA island is original, and it’s in excellent condition.

Potting tar in the TA is undisturbed, and both AF transformers are original. The RF transformer is of course original too, with clean original paint. All transformers (RF & AF) have good windings.

Comes as pictured, ready to display and/or play. Includes 4 good emissions brass base, tipped tubes — 3 UV-201a’s for the RF and AF amplifiers and a UV-200 for the detector. Requires a regulated DC power supply (such as an ARBEIII), a longwire outdoor antenna (ham radio type), a vintage horn loudspeaker, and some prior experience tuning an early 20’s battery radio.
