Beautiful, coin-operated 1889 Symphonion Style 25c “Rococo” disc music box plays 11 3/4″ discs through twice (approximately 90 seconds run time) with each large British penny dropped into the slot.
Condition is excellent, and the coin-op mechanism is working properly. Original cabinet finish, original artwork on the underside of the lid (surrounded by original green felt). Movement (twin combs) has no broken teeth, and it plays beautifully, as you can hear in the video posted below.
The Symphonion 25c, with its heavily carved cabinet, is among the most sought after disc music boxes ever made. You’ll be hard-pressed to find another one in such exceptional condition, with pristine carvings and an original finish that still glows.
