Mint 1914 Nichols 401 Radio Sending & Receiving Station

$4,000.00

Ships worldwide.

Mint, original No. 401 Wireless Radio Sending & Receiving Station, manufactured and marketed (with slight variations each year) from 1913 until 1915 by the Nichols Electric Co. of New York.

This is a scarce transceiver.

How a piece of communications equipment built more than a century ago could have survived in this condition is a mystery, but seeing is believing. Condition is just as it appears in the photographs — picture perfect, as they say.

There’s a chip in one of the little spark gap handles (they appear to be made of gutta percha), but the apparatus is otherwise like new, and it’s wholly original (including the board finish and wiring), with no restoration, no repair, no touch-ups, no clean-up.

Measures approximately 16″ wide by 9″ deep by 8″ high. Shipping weight approximately 15 lb.

Includes the Kellogg headset pictured with it.
