Beautiful, working, solid brass Hartnack & Prazmowski microscope, manufactured in Paris ca. 1875. The microscope is signed on the tube and offered in its original polished mahogany cabinet (felt-lined door), complete with 2 eyepieces and a selection of antique specimen slides.
Condition overall is excellent. Clear optics. Undamaged mirror. Clean lacquered brass everywhere; areas of tarnish consistent with age. Cabinet and microscope are original throughout.
With tube fully extended, microscope measures approximately 12″ high. Cabinet (closed) measures 11″ x 6″ x 4″.
